Moínhos de Santana

Pensarão, talvez, que tirei estas fotografias fora de Lisboa. Mas não.

Os Moínhos de Santana ficam na freguesia de S. Francisco Xavier, em Lisboa, entre a rua Tristão Vaz e a estrada de Caselas.

O Parque Recreativo dos Moínhos de Santana ocupa uma área de 5ha., com uma vegetação lindíssima.

Podemos observar árvores como o cipreste da Califórnia, a alfarrobeira, a amendoeira, a oliveira e o pinheiro manso, além de muitas flores,  tudo muito limpo e cuidado.

Dentro da cidade, um óptimo local para passear e levar as crianças.

E tem uma história.

Em 1639, o padre irlandês  Daniel O'Daly  fugiu do seu país para escapar à perseguição dos protestantes.

Fundou o  Mosteiro do Bom Sucesso, o primeiro convento de freiras dominicanas do mundo.

Os moínhos terão sido construídos em meados do séc.XVIII  para abastecer o convento das freiras irlandesas com a tão preciosa farinha.   

A sua  preservação, entre 1964 e 1965 deve-se à Associação Portuguesa dos Amigos dos Moínhos.

Em 1997 foi finalmente inaugurado este simpático Parque.

Ir a Évora e não passear pelas ruínas do Templo de Diana e  Praça do Giraldo, é como ir a Roma e não ver o Papa.

Mas Évora tem muito mais para ser visitado. Não é em vão que é chamada a Cidade Museu.

Tenho um afecto muito especial pelo Alentejo. Durante algum tempo tive uma ocupação que me levou a percorrer este nosso querido País de Norte a Sul.  Onde esse trabalho me corria melhor era sempre no Alentejo. 

Por último, só para não parecer glutona, a comida e os doces são divinais. Lá, o melhor é esquecer as dietas.

Da última vez que visitei o Oceanário de Lisboa, o "Vasco", assim se chama este boneco, em referência ao nosso Grande Vasco da Gama, encontrava-se neste estado lastimoso.
Não me parece lá muito digno. Tem mais a ver com os portugueses, actualmente.
Enterrados em dívidas até ao pescoço, boca fechada, e  có-có dos grandes e poderosos a cair-lhe em cima.
